Lottery Dream
I like reading books about psychic phenomena and see how it is related to God, prophecy, and Christian aspects.
Recently, I have been reading a book about psi phenomena. It is called “Trails in the Psychic Wilderness” by Dale Graff. He was a physicist who was to eventually lead the Stargate research in the soviet era. They focused on remote viewing, dreams, and other phenomena. They found that, not unlike prayer, to receive answers for things as simple as what color is under the card to where is the hostage, you first focus on intention, asking and asking for the answer, then meditate or clear your mind, then expectantly ask and wait for an answer. I have tried it a few times and it seems to be very successful.
When it comes to dreams, he says to go to bed with the intention of receiving a dream with an answer, whether literal or symbolic. This is not unlike what I learned from my grandmother growing up. I asked her how to dream about puppies and she said, “Just think about it before you go to sleep”. I went to bed thinking of puppies, and sure enough, I did dream of puppies. My therapist said the same thing.
So last night, I had went to bed with an intention. I asked, “Will there be kids? What is in our future?” Then I had a dream that I was in a sort of Price is Right setting, but it was more like to win the lottery. It was a little more modern. There was a host, like Bob Sagot but it looked more like Kirk Cameron. Somehow, I had won the lottery three times. It was amazing. It was a very unique situation, only a few people in all of history did it. I was famous, it was a very happy dream. The host had taken me aside and asked me why it happened, how’d I do it. I told him, I am a Christian and God loves me and I have God on my side. And he immediately knelt down and gave his life to Jesus. I woke up.
The hard part now is to interpret the dream. In the book I was reading, he said the answer can come literally or symbolically and interpretation is often very hard to do. This is true even in the old testament, where kings had asked Joseph to interpret their complicated dreams. I believe the number 3 is important in my dream, specifically because I had asked about kids and what is in our future. Having kids would make you very happy, like winning the lottery. So I do think I received an answer to my dreams. But it could also mean that I want 3 kids, which has been true in the past as well. We will ultimately have to wait and see what it really means.

The next morning, I read 1 Kings 3. It was the next chapter up.
There are other possible interpretations as well. I had a wonderful, awe-inspiring night with Andrew and I was very happy. Perhaps it was that which made the dream so happy and uplifting.
