The first 10 pounds…

The first 10 pounds…

I gained a significant amount of weight after starting to take Epival back in the summer of 2014 (mood stabilizer 750 mg) for my Manic-Depressive disorder (for the first year I was also taking 3 mg Resperidone). I weighed as much as 175 lbs by New Years Day of 2016 (my highest weight ever). My resolution was to lose 40 pounds (among other resolutions). From January to August, I was trying a little bit. I did not measure inches lost, nor did track food or exercise regularly. But I still managed to lose 10 pounds during this period. Below is a picture taken on August 21st, 2016.

In comparison, here is a picture of me, at a normal weight for me of approximately 130 lbs:

As an example of my diet, this is what I was eating on August 27th, 2016 as inputted on www.caloriecount.com:

Pizza for breakfast was not a good choice, a hamburger for dinner is questionable… here is the Nutrition Report for the month of August with only 5 days logged:

Clearly, I was eating too much fat and salt and in general, not eating enough calcium, iron, and potassium.

So I have my work cut out for me for next month…
